Book Title: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul III
Title: Have a Seat upon a Cloud
The story I read today was a poem about peace and friendship. This story tells about a place somewhat like paradise. It has beautiful meanings to it. And says forget about your worries. In this poem it describes a wonderful place with joy and happiness. Somewhere where one would go off to for a peace and mellow time. This poem also talks about a land of dreams awaiting for us all to come and join. It’s a very spiritual place where one goes in times of blue. Have a seat upon a cloud and make anything happen if it becomes real. My favorite line from this poem is when it say, “ paint the sky in polka dots if you do not like it blue.” I really enjoyed reading this poem , because its very nice and when you read it, it makes you forget all the bad troubles in life. What I learned after reading this poem was that after trouble there’s a land of joy and peace waiting for us all.

8 Sentence Summary:
A baby is expected to sleep the most at 4 weeks and to sleep the least when he/she is 3 years old. A baby can normally fall asleep in his/her stroller if you push the stroller back and forth. When you are buying clothing for you baby you should look for suits with a large cotton content. When you bath your baby you should be very careful, especially around the head area. If your baby is very young than you should give the baby a sponge bath. If your baby hates bathing you should try sitting your baby near the bowl of water and play with the water. If you are going to use a stroller to take your baby out, you should try using a convertible carriage-stroller. The first six months of the baby’s growth, the baby is familiar with objects and noises, learning about each other, rolling over, and using his/her body .
3 Sentence Thought Reflection:
I believe that it is very hard to take care of a baby. I also think that depending on your point of view of taking care of a baby you will be very successful. I think that having a baby can mature someone because taking care of a baby is a lot of responsibility.
Interesting Fact:
I thought that when a baby is 6 months he/she is already familiar with his/her surroundings was interesting.
This morning I continue to read When the Wind Blows by James Patterson. Chapter 33 and 34 was about Max. She was flying through the clouds and she loved it so much. She started to think of the school and Miss Beatie and how she never saw her again after a couple of days of breaking the news that Adam was put to sleep. Adam was one of the creations as well with the most beautiful blue eyes. It saddened Max and Mathew when Miss Beatie told them the news. He was put to sleep for reasons unknown. In chapter 34, uncle Thomas overheard the kids that Max met and they were talking about a girl named Tinkerbelle with wings. That sounded like Max to uncle Thomas so he moved in to know about this. The little boy who promised not to say anything opened his big mouth. The little girl kept her word because she stayed quiet. I think the little boy is a burn. He promised he wouldn’t tell but he lied. Now uncle Thomas has a lead to where Max is at and that sucks because she might be captured and put to “sleep.” The interesting fact about these chapters is now uncle Thomas know where Max is at.
This morning I read a story called “ My Story” out of the book Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.” It’s about a girl who is very sad and tries to commit suicide. She doesn’t feel loved by her parents, her friends, and her boyfriend had just dumped her. She tried calling her boyfriend but he didn’t want to talk so he hung up. Then she went in the bathroom and attempted to kill herself by overdose of Tylenol and tranquilizers. I felt really bad for her and the problems she had in her life. Thankfully she didn’t die and she learned from this and is now happy with her life. The most interesting fact n this story was that statistics show that immediately after “attempting suicide, the person desperately wants to live… not die.
This morning I read another section in “Love Signs.” I continued to read about the Taurus girl and the Pisces guy. This is often considered a "divine match," with the dreamy sensitivity of Pisces meeting the hands-on sensuality of Taurus. Both Signs are quiet and peace-loving, adoring the good things in life. They usually share the same tastes when it comes to the arts and will seldom argue...although both have a tendency to brood. The inherent Taurus focus adds stability and direction to Pisces, while Pisces's creativity is lovingly encouraged by Taurus. Also on the negative side, Taurus wants Pisces to produce, not just dream, and will attempt to corral the slippery Pisces. Since Pisces refused to be bossed or caged, this may leave Taurus with the dotted line unsigned. One thing Pisces will never comprehend is the Taurus desire for money and luxury...he or she only needing barely enough to get along. One thing Taurus will never comprehend is the Pisces penchant to drift idly through life. Taurus can also become irritated at Pisces' lack of business sense and shirking of responsibility. All in all, this combination is a natural one that can work well, given a few minor adjustments. Taurus must get used to Pisces' hyper-developed dream world...which is artistic, but occasionally manifests itself as plain paranoia...while Pisces must learn to bear with the munificent materialism of Taurus. Since these two spirits are so generous, however, such fine tuning of their romance usually proves to be a joy rather than a chore. This is a match that could bloom into true love if it lasts.
*Lizards
Some lizards are legally protected and never available to the hobbyist. It’s interesting how different species of lizards form more than one half of the total species of recent reptiles. Many lizards relish snails. The common garden snails are readily accepted snacks. Spiders are common in many areas and add variety to the diets of insect-eating lizards. Crickets form the bulk of many captive lizards diets. Feed only as many crickets to your pet as it will eat at once, leftover crickets can get hungry enough to bite and injure a lizard. Many larger lizards readily devour grasshoppers. Fuzzy mice are newborn mice that have only recently grown their fur. Many larger lizards such as monitors and tegus are mice exclusively. A variety of mixed vegetables and fruits can be offered daily to herbivorous lizards.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage soul:
The story I read is called “My Story”. This is a story about a 16 year old girl who spends her time with her mom and with her dad. She spent summers with her mom and school year with her dad. She was troubled. She couldn’t talk to her mom because she always had something more important to do or at least that is how she felt. She had never thought about committing suicide before. She always thought why people would do something like that. For her she just wanted the pain to stop. She had been having trouble with her friends. They were growing apart because they started being different. That same day her boyfriend broke up with her. He told her she had become impossible to love. She felt so alone. She didn’t want to be in this position anymore. She went to the bathroom grabbed Tylenol and other pain killers and she drank all of them. Right after she took them she felt so scared. She realized she didn’t want to die she just wanted to fix things. For things to be better for her. That day she scared herself and many other people. Luckily she didn’t die. She realized that she would have done a mistake. She realized that she should find ways of dealing with things. I think that this story is good to show that no one should commit suicide. I think that it show that if you kill yourself you will hurt and scare many people and you might regret what you have done. There are lot of things that are going to hurt you and you should try to deal with them so that when something really strong comes along you will not fall you will be a bigger person.
