New York city is called the big apple. They don’t call it that because it it is the worlds largest apple producer. They call it that because apple was slang for New York. In 1620 the pilgrims arrive at Plymouth Rock and made it their permanent settlement. In 1772 a great colonial defiance against Britain takes place in Rhode Island. Maine is the only one syllable state. The Rhode Island Red is a rooster named after the state of Rhode Island. The twin towers used to be in New York.
I think that the world is big. And a lot of things have happened since the beginning of time.

Today I was reading about “Putting out the fire 10 Foods To Fight Inflammation.” I read that when you cut yourself or something your body respond with pain, redness and swelling, signs of inflammation. The same thing happens when you have a sprained ankle or a soar throat. In this article it says that if this happens its because your body is reacting appropriately. “ Inflammation is part of a healthy immune system response,” says Monica. These foods include Walnuts, spinach, salmon, turmeric, pineapple, onions, ginger, blueberries, garlic and sweet potatoes.
I think that when you have inflammation you should be very careful with everything you do. Being it that inflammation is a part of getting better you could still get hurt worse. I would not try to get hit or bother the area where you just got hurt.
I learned some of the foods that help inflammation.

Book Title: 1001 facts about the human body
Today I read about one of the body’s main supports, which is known as the Spinal column. There are a total of 33 vertebrae bones, that are used to surround the spinal cord. Sliding joints, give the backbone flexibility, and is interlocked with the vertebrae. There are four gentle curves in the human’s spine, made to give extra stability and strength. The vertebra is a weight- bearing area, also known as the Centrum. Centrum is attached to the vertebral arch, (ring of bone), which causes it to work as protecting the spinal cord. What extends from the arch are what we call Bony projections. Then the movement of sliding joints, is the transverse process. I found it interesting that the spinal curves in one’s back, can actually become abnormally pronounced. Too much curvature may be seen going inwards in the lower back area, but once you get to the upper level of the spine you will see it forming outwards. For this there is an operation, where a rod is to be inserted to straighten ones spine. An interesting fact that I learned was that the human’s neck contains the same amount of vertebras as a giraffe.

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.
"Gabby, your're sooo Skinny"

This short story is about a girl named Gabby who made straight-A's, she was a wonderful student and very involved with school activities. Gabby weighed about 125 pounds. She decided that she wanted to lose a few pounds when she saw that a friend was going on a diet, and getting great results. Gabby started off exercising and eating healthy. After many compliments from friends and being noticed a lot more, she decided to lose more weight to get more attention. Everything became a problem when she was no longer getting attention, so she decided to stop eating and try harder for more compliments. She went days without eating, and her problem grew bigger. One day her father sat her down with a steak and told her that she had no choice but to eat it and he was going to watch her. Gabby sat there crying and screaming, hating her father for doing this to her. Gabby finally gave in and ate it because he would not let her go until she did eat it. She sat there thinking in her room crying, and realized that she didnt hate her father, she hated herself. Gabby finally worked her way back to a normal weight size and is now happier. I am happy for Gabby, not many people can realize their problem and work their way out of it. I can relate to her because i almost went through that stage, some people think that i am in that stage. I am happy that it did not get worse befor eit got better.

After i saw the video of the Asian dude who shot some college students at Virginai Tech, i believe that Cho Seung-Hui, maybe had real issues. But he acted selfish by killing others.Really if he was really depressed and tired of others than he should of just commited suicide and take his life away instead of others. After all he ain't that big of a deal. And whatever he was trying to accomplish of becoming someone special, the videos he made actually made him look stupid, well to my point of view. He just needs to get over his problems and move on. bUt t00 bAd it's t00 lAte.

On the CNN news video I watched, I learned that Cho, the man who killed about 32 people including himself. I learned that Cho killed 2 people, left the school, sent a package with all his videos to CNN and went back to the school to shoot the rest. Cho was reading off of a piece of paper he wrote. He talked about how people are "rich" and have everythig they've ever wanted. He says that everyone rich deserves to die because they aren't happy with the life they have, the way they treated him. Basically Cho was angry for letting himself get run over by students at his school. He decided to get revenge by killing some. He walked on campus shooting at random people and walking into random classes to shoot. Whats odd is that the classes don't have locks on the doors so it was easy to break into a room.

I learned about a psycho guy named Cho Seunghui who was the guy who killed 32 people at Virginia Tech. He sent a package containing pictures and videos of himself talking about how he gets mistreated and how he is mad at everybody. He was a Bi-polar guy who was depressed at times and very angry at times, I also seen videos of fellow students talking about the horrifying incident and how they tried to stay alive. Since the school classrooms had only one solid wooden door it was easy to trap a whole classroom and kill everybody, but many students took the risk and jumped out of the tiny windows. He was angry at “rich kids” and in the videos he said they deserved to die, he claimed to get picked on by other rich kids.
I think this massacre could have easily been prevented because of the violent notes, and because of his behavior. A person like this should easily be spotted out as somebody who seriously needs help. I also think he is one of the biggest cowards, because of his suicide, if he was such a man he could of dealt with the consequences like going to prison, in there he would of easily got what he deserved. I also don’t understand how he got away with killing two people and coming back and killing 30 more people. It is very sad that his problems “could have “ been dealt but didn’t’ , but unfortunately it is too late for any kind of help.

In San Francisco, hundreds of people evacuated, school closed because of Web posting. I think that this dude was straight weird. I thought that he did this for attention. This dude's great aunt describes Cho as "cold," she says his mother was always worried about him. Governor's panel will analyze events before, during, after shooting. NBC News announced Wednesday night that it had received a package from Cho containing photos, 27 videos and an 1,800-word diatribe. The package was sent by overnight mail but didn't arrive until Wednesday because the address and ZIP code were wrong. In 2005, Cho was declared mentally ill by a Virginia special justice, who found he was "an imminent danger" to himself, a court document states. Cho's great-aunt, Kim Yang-soon, described Cho as "very cold" and said her niece was constantly worried about him, according to a translation from the AP. I thought that this article was very interested.

On the CNN articles that were presented there were several absolutely shocking clips, glimpses of the mind of the biggest University killer in American history. The first clip presented was of him talking to a stationary camera a reading off a list of things he felt was done wrong to him. In this there was a disturbing fact at how messed up one person could get either trough the disorder or the effects a person could have on another. He appeared bipolar in the video showing times of depression followed by moments of an anger. In his angered rants he cursed the rich and tried to justify the action that he wanted to take on the those who had done wrong to him by saying that he was empowering the weak just like Jesus did. The second clip was the same video with subtitles so it was easier to understand the words but not the meaning behind them still just angered rants. By my understanding the fact that he was not speaking to any one person and the fact that he killed at random shows that he was angry at society as a whole or his social status. In another clip it showed the death traps that the campus was it had wooden doors with no way to see what was coming around the corner. The windows were narrow and not easy to pass trough not capable of a mass evacuation. They were trapped and this one disturbed individual took advantage of that. He killed 32 people. This one fact sends a chill trough my spine. It was a sad, horrendous, and unacceptable act that changed so many lives and brought no visible positive result. It was an atrocity plain and simple.

This student at Virginia Tech University just went on a rampage killing people. He killed 33 people and hurt 15. Cho was known to have a mental illness. The police had to talk to Cho a couple of times for harassing some girls. Neither of the girls wanted to press charges on Cho because he had not tried to touch them or try to hurt them yet. Cho was mad at the world. He thought the world had done something to him. He had a certain anger at rich people. He felt he had to do this, he felt he had to kill these people because the world did him wrong. To him they raped his soul.
He really had issues. I don't really know what to say.

Title: Past 2 Present Rome
This book is about ancient Rome and the foods that they ate. For breakfast poor people ate bread and water, but the main meal was dinner, it began late in the afternoon so that way it would be over by sunset. Most people ate cheese, vegetables, and porridge, which is basically oatmeal. Rich Romans ate many different foods. Today people in Rome still take long lunches, shops close from 1:00 to 4:00 and then re-open until 8:00. Lunch has many courses like salad, rice or pasta, a main course, and then dessert.

Title: State By State Atlas
Section: Kentucky
The English and French were the first to visit this state in the late 1600s and the early 1700s. The word Kentucky had came from an Cherokee, which means Meadowland or Land of Tomorrow. Kentucky’s nickname comes from one of our trees that is growing throughout the U.S. In 1775, they had established themselves along the Kentucky river. Daniel Boone had once settled in Kentucky and he explored the area, then he had left. Two years later he had came back but this time when he came back he had attempted to bring some settlers into the area in 1773. Kentucky horse farms and Lexington had produced some of the finest racehorses. The most event that is famous to the Kentucky is their annual Kentucky Derby at the Churchill Downs. It was located in the largest area between lakes, by it being there it had always attracted other people. I learned that Kentucky’s Mammoth-flint Ridge caves are the longest cave system in the world it stretches more than three hundred miles and four hundred and eighty-three kilometers. The Thing that I was most interested in was the famous boxer Muhammad Ali that was born in Louisville Kentucky in 1942.

Alberto Gonzales says that the fired of 8 federal prosecutes that lost their jobs he wants say sorry to their families. Sen. Patrick leahy say that Gonzales is probably on fired. Gonzales had his job in danger because of the thing that he did by firing 8 federal prosecutes. But he stay on the working on the government. But Gonzales say that he will never fired someone that will change the things on U.S. but Bush says that this didn’t change stuff on U.S. the shooting on the campus of Virginia was the worst thing that happen on the all the schools is the shooting of the history. Bush says that he is sorry for the died of 32 students. They created the 15 pounds of meat. The worst bombing on Oklahoma know is the university. The names of the victims were named so people could pray for them. Another shooting became on the schools a kid wanted to killed someone but he died on a car accident. A interesting fact that I learned from this was that I didn’t know that even if you are important you can not fired people just because you are more important then that person. What I see that is bad thing is what happen on the bombing on Oklahoma because a lot of people died. Another reflection is what happen on the Virginia school that was sad what the kid did to the student.
