Section title: Wild animals Picture description: There are many pictures of different animals. Summary: This book talks about how animals lived in the wild. Most of the animals lived in the jungle were all animals deal with each other. Some of them eat each other because they don’t get along to well. Like cheetahs with deer's they don’t get along because that is what they eat to keep themselves survive. I think from all animals that we have in this world we are more common with monkeys because in some ways they act like us and they protect there own people. my moms favorite animal is monkeys she even wanted to have a monkey from her own.
Chicken soup for the soul Risking This story is about taking risks. There were two seeds laying side by side. One wanted to grow. It wanted to go deep into the soil and above the earths crust. The other one was afraid of the being out in the open and that a snail might eat it. So it decided to stay there. Then one morning a yard hen was scratching for food and it uncovered the seed and ate it. The interesting thing is that it decided to wait so that it would not get eaten and didn’t want to get eaten but in the end it still got eaten.
*Oh, Kojo! How Could You! In the book, it talks about how The River Spirit answered her question. These characters listen to the River, they believe that it shows signs. In these days, you had to buy sea salt. The water was only knee-deep. Market day was when you could go and buy any goods needed. This dude Kojo liked to buy or trade for cloth. Kojo was afraid to sleep at night because he hated rats, but he found a cat that takes care of that problem. I thought that this book was interesting. This is a book I would take to read to the young roots.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. "Detention Can Be Fun"
Bill Cosby is at home reading his paper. His son comes home with great stories about being in detention, and how fun it is in there. Bill was confused and started asking questions about how it is fun. Bills son goes on about relationships and the people who go in, and what makes detention fun. This story was very boring to me and i didn't really understand it. I hate detention and no matter who you know in detention, it will never be fun.
Book Title: Chicken Soup for the Women’s Soul Title: The Other Women Today I read a short story about a man who separated from his hometown and away from his mom. After his father’s death he had moved away out of town to make a new life. Start his own family and raise his own kids. After the time he moved out her hardly ever would see his mother. The only time you would find him close to her were on special occasions like holidays or family reunions. His wife had tried and talked to him about how if he became closer to his mom, their relationship would build up stronger and would bring him a better life with his wife and family. So he gave it a try, he made a late night phone call to his mother and invited her out to eat and a movie after. His mother agreed, when he went by to pick her up he realized how they were both excited, they hadn’t gone out for a while and it was nice to be with his mother. After that day, they had promised to go out again. Because he brought back his relationship with his mom, his life changed and he felt better about himself. Spending time with one’s mother makes you learn how important family is and the importance of living. Something I learned after reading this passage was that there is always time for someone to bring back their old times with their family, and although it may not seem, it may turn out to be a fun time.
