Title: 1001 facts about The Human Body
This book is about the human body, and I read about the lungs and how they function. Air is drawn in and out of the lungs by contraction and relaxation of the diaphragm muscle. Once air is in the lungs oxygen is extracted and passes into the blood through the thin walls of tiny air sacs called the (alveoli). It is exchanged for the body’s waste product, carbon dioxide, which is exhaled (breathed out). When inhaling air the diaphragm contract and the rib cage expands, pressure in the chest cavity lowers and air rushes to the lungs. Exhaling, when the diaphragm and rib cage relax, pressure in the chest increases and air is forced out. One interesting fact I learned is that smoking cigarettes is linked with 90% of all cancers.

♥Chicken Soup for the Soul
♥“On Courage”
♥I story I read this morning was on courage. It was about a young girl who was asked if she was courageous. She then answered by telling her story about a little girl who suffered from a disease and the her little brother who saved her. The only way the little girl would survive was if her little brother was willing to give his blood. When he was asked he said, “Yes, but if I do will it save my sister?” His big sister made it and she couldn’t have been happier. But as soon she recovered, her little brother asked, “Will I start to die right away?” Her little brother seemed to have misunderstood the concept because of being so young. &And that is how she answered, by saying she had great teachers.
♥I enjoyed reading this story because it was inspiring. It was like one of those kodak moments you'd see on television.
Well in this book about Wild animals. I read a lot about animals. They talked about little facts about wild cats, bears, pandas, apes, snakes, and lizards. Did you know that the Red Kangaroo has white face marks and a pale tail tip. The female is usually grey. The Ring Tailed Lemur, may live in big groups. Females are dominant over males. Giant Anteaters sleep for most of the day, its tail curled around it. Has no teeth. Laps up termites with its long sticky tongue. The Gelada female’s chest patch only turns red at mating time. An angry male flashes white eyelids and exposes his canine teeth. You can find them in Ethiopia. The Greater Kudu female is smaller than the male and has no horns or fringe on the throat. Mainly a browser. You can find them in Africa.
I think its crazy how all these animals can live together and just get along although they like to eat each other.
Many people moved to the United States for a better life. They didn’t care leaving their homes because there was nothing there. A lot of African American people wanted to leave the South. So they went North. This movement is called The Great Migration. The South was difficult for many African Americans after the civil war ended. They were discriminated against where ever they went. They had to sit in the back of the bus.
I think people should have been nicer to African Americans. They should of let them sit in the front of the bus.
I was surprised that no one said anything about the discrimination.
Title: The World Atlas
Section: The Southeast States
The Spanish people had established St. Augustine, Florida in 1565. In the 1800s the slave labor had became the key to producing the large amount of cotton. In those days slavery had became a contest issue where, they had attempted to balance the power of slave holding and non- slave holding states failed. During the world war in 1861 some of the southeastern people had started to seceded from the union, by that time they had started creating new nation, and those new nations were called the Confederate States of America. During that time also, by then West Virginia had joined the Union. Southeast rebuilt after the war and today boasts a strong diverse economy, including their textile mills, citrus orchards, cutting-edge media, and high tech businesses. I learned that the south east states had been through a lot and they had once lived a certain but then after the years have been passing through they changed a lot of things. The most interesting fact that I like was that They had started creating new nations after people had started leaving the Union.
Book Name: The Woman Who Escaped From Shame
I read about a person who once lived In Chicago but came to San Diego and joined the Navy. The person tells how when they first came into San Diego, things were difficult. But once they get used to getting settled in other town, he makes new friends. Whom sometimes doesn’t really know about their past. As he tries to know more about her Navy trooper Morales she finds out something mysterious. Two things I liked about the book is that it is very interesting, and it catches my eye. Although I still not sure of the main character of this story is a boy or girl.
The book that I’m reading for this morning is called chicken soup for the teenage soul and the story that I’m reading is about relationships which is called “losing the us”. Was about this girl named Lia that had broke-up with her boyfriend she felt that her whole life had been lost and that she needed him in her life. Ben was everything for her she try not for him to see that she still love him but one day she call him and told him that she couldn’t live without him he just say that he will always care for her but that he will never go back with her because he didn’t love her. Then she started going out having fun and not think of him no more at the end she finally understand that she could live along without thinking she needed someone to be happy. What I like about this story was that it show how to forget someone that you really love. What I also like was that he say the truth but try not hurt her heart he did but at least he was an oust. What I learned was that when you think that your life is over because someone that you love live you, you could try and forget him.
*1,001 Facts About The Human Body
About two million years ago, there were several species of hominids living at the same time. The earliest hominid fossils are from about 3.5 million years ago. Homo sapiens is the only existing species of hominid. Life on earth probably began four billion years ago. Single-celled organisms gradually evolved into more complex multicelled plants and animals. Fossils suggest that humanlike creatures, hominids, first appeared five million years ago. The skeleton has 206 bones. The skeleton is a living tissue, and is constantly being renewed. Females usually have smaller, lighter skeletons than males. I thought that this book is excellent is you want to know more about the human body.
Section Title: Our Lady of Guadalupe
Picture description: I picture the lady of Guadalupe holding someone in her hands.
Summary: So far in this book talks about how Mexicans and Aztec are kind of the same. There are many things that they both have in common that even in their religion is almost the same with the Mexicans ,almost half of them are Catholics and some of them are Christians. But the some of them that are Christians don’t even believe in our lady of Guadalupe. In my religion which is catholic we do believe in her . We have faith in her a lot specially when we are in the moments when somebody is sick or about to die. What I think is that there to many religions that I don’t even know which one is true. But I believe to what my family thought me since when I was young at some point I didn’t believe in god because I had suffer a lot that If god really existed he wouldn’t let me suffer a lot.
