I didn’t even know that a sun bear even existed. They are a tropical bear. They require a lot of warmth. It nests in trees. It laps up termites with its long tongue. The sun bear especially loves wild honey. There is a species called the red panda. It is related to raccoons. It eats bamboo like like the giant panda. They are very rare but if you want to look for one, they will be in the Himalayas. There are also wild cats. They look like domestic cats but they are larger and stronger. They are very dangerous and they can kill somebody. There are a lot of species of wild cats. The snow leopard when it is cold, it wraps its long tail around its body to keep itself warm. There are a lot of species of animals that I have never seen. There are a lot of cat species too.
A teenager by the name of Jason was given permission to drive his father to a remote village 18 miles away from home.Jason had to bring the car to a near-by garage to get it checked on and pick his father back from at 4 o'clock. Jason thought to himself that since he has a couple of hours to spare, he could watch a movie at the nearby theater. After a couple of movies, Jason realized that it was 6 o'clock, two hours later than he should have been to pick up his father. He knew that his dad would be disappointed in him if he found out that he had been watching movies, so he had to think of a story for his father to not be mad at him. When he arrived at the area where he was to pick up his father, his father was sitting patiently and Jason began appologizing right away and lying about the car needing repairs. Jasons father knew right away that he was lying. "I called the shop asking if everything was okay, they said that you hadn't come to pick up the car, and that the car was fine. Jasons father gives a speech about how he failed as a father to raise a son to beable to tell the truth to his own father and that he was going to walk all 18 miles home and think about where he went wrong in raising his son. Jason kept begging his father to get into the car and that he was really sorry. But Jasons father refused and kept walking. Jason felt really bad and followed behind his father driving 5 mph. Jason never lied again. I learned that you shouldn't lie to someone especially when its your own fault, you should let yourself feel guilty. Jason had to learn the hard way, if he didnt follow his father home, it would have seemed that he did not feel guilty.
"My Story" is about a 16 year old girl and her story. This girl wasn't happy, but she never thought about killing herself. She just wanted the pain to stop and it got to the point where she was willing to do anything to do that. Her so called "friends were not able to help her and they just pushed her away so she went to her parents. When she went to her parents she changed her mind about telling them and she thought they were too busy about more important stuff than her.So she went to the bathroom and took Tylenol PM, some tranquilizers and a couple of pain pills.Luckily she didn't die, but at the end she hurt a lot of people who loved her.
Book Title: Chicken Soup for the Women’s Soul Title: Just the way you are This short story was about a kid who was picked on when he was little for being too short. Everyday as he came home from school he would tell his mom, how he wished to be someone else. He thought to himself if only I could be a bit taller. That way no one would have any reason to longer pick on me. His mom would always tell him he was just perfect the way he was. Like every mother says to their children. In his mother’s eyes her son was an angel and as beautiful as can be. As he past his years and different stages he began to learn how life really was and what people were all about. Once he grew up and finished his school he became someone big and important. He began to produce music for everyone to hear. This little kid who was once picked on is now known as Billy Joel, a rock/pop/classical singer. One thing I liked about this is that it shows how at some point everyone goes through their hard times, but once they grow older and older they figure out how things really are. At some point you’ll end up realizing how important you are to yourself and how unimportant other people’s opinions are.
Chicken soup for the soul A creed to those who have suffered Someone was asking for strength. that they might achieve. He was made weak. That he might learn humbly to obey. He was hoping for things he needed and asking for things he wanted. In the end he had got nothing he asked for but everything he hoped for. The interesting thing about this is that there is a difference between needing and wanting. We should be graceful for what we have.
♥ Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul III ♥ Tough Stuff; “Emergency 911” ♥ This morning I read a story about a high school girl who was on her way to tennis practice. On the way to practice, her friend Stephanie drove up next to her and offered her a ride to practice. She refused because she knew her parents would disapprove of her getting a ride from a sixteen year old. Later that day her mother called her and told her that two girls from her school were killed in a car crash- those two girls were Stephanie & her friend Jenn. It could have been her that was dead- but things happen for a reason. Each day she says she forgets a little more, but in her heart will always be the memory of her love and kindness. ♥ This story was pretty sad, but it was cute how she said that she won all her matches for Stephanie.
Title: World Atlas Section: Maine Maine is were hunting, farming, and fishing in the region when the first waves of the Europeans settlers had arrived in the 1620s. French province is where the name Maine had came from. Massachusetts wanted to add the Maine land to theirs, in the year 1820 Maine had finally became a state. In the year two thousand Maine had fifty seven pounds of lobsters harvest. This state is the heavily forested state in the nation wide. I learned that Maine had lots of things hosted in that state and that it must have been a very unique place because it was wanted by lots of people to became part of their own land. The most thing I thought was interesting was how they have lots of lobsters harvest out their because I love lobsters, and that the fact that they had a lobster fest.
There was once a goddess whose name was Demeter. Demeter was welcomed wherever she went because she went because she possessed wonderful powers. She made the flowers bloom, she made the corn ripen, and she filled the trees with fruit. Everywhere she went she breathed life into the plants, and without her the world would have become a dreary, lifeless place. Demeter had a daughter called Persephone, who grew as beautifully as any plant. Her body was as straight and supple as a young willow, and her skin as soft as a rose pedal.
