Title: Wild Animals
In this book it talks about all types of different animals such as lion, tigers, gorillas, apes, monkies, and etc. the section that i read was on the animal of Sothern American Monkeys. they have the squirrel monkey who lives in big groups, they run along branches on all four, using their tail as a balance. The humboldt's monkey has a prehensile tail which can grip branches or even grasp bits of food. And they have the whit faced saki, and their easily frightened, it makes loud, bird- like alarm calls, and the males of this monkey carry their young ones not the mother. And the last southern monkey is a common marmoset, in zoos, they only could be kept in pairs and the males carries the young of this kind of monkey to. what i learned is that there are all types of mokeys in the world and they all have different qualities and stuff.
The book I’m reading for this morning is called “chicken soup for the soul” and the story that I’m reading is called “big Ed”. This story talks about how people need to be nice to other people so that the city could be a happy city. This book is about a guy that every time he sees a guy that works in hard stuff for example taxi or contraction tell them that they do a good job. So the guy that was with him started saying good things to people. What I like the most about this story was that Ed was trying to make people feel good with the job they had it doesn’t meter if they work in a place that you need to do a lot of hard stuff. The interested fact that I learned was that its true that if you tell people good stuff of what they do they are going to feel good or at least thing that a guy told that person a good thing.
♥Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
♥“ Gossipers ”
♥The story I read this morning was about a young woman who learned a valuable lesson on gossiping. She heard a rumor about her neighbor and by the next day, the entire neighborhood knew about it. A few days later she found out that it was not true. She felt awful and decided to go to a wise man for advice on how to repair the damage she caused her neighbor. The wise man told her to buy a chicken and pluck it on the way home, while dropping its’ feathers one by one on the road. She did- and then went back to the wise man. He then told her to go back and pick up each and everyone of the feathers. She was not able to pick up everyone of them because of the wind., and the old man said, “ It doesn’t take much to start a rumor but it’s almost impossible to fix it.”
Title:Son Against Father This story is about a king of Spain named Philip the second who is claimed to be the reason for his son Don Carlos’s death. The king fell in love and married a 14-year-old girl named Elizabeth, daughter of the king of France, his son Don Carlos was also in love with the young lady. On December 23, 1567 the king had his son arrested, confined, and later murdered according to Philip’s enemies.
One interesting fact I learned was that the Philippine island’s were named after the king Philip.
*Who Moved My Cheese? for Teens
This book is made for teens. It has helped millions of people around the world deal with the changes in their lives. In the story, little mice are in a Maze and they must find the cheese to nourish them and make them happy. The two mice are named Sniff and Scurry. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life. The Maze is where you look for what you. In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change. Millions of people have credited this book because it helps with improving peoples careers and marriages. I thought that this book was very interesting, people recommend this book.
Green iguanas need a lot of care. They also need a lot of love. Iguanas are cold blooded creatures. Because they are cold blooded they require a light so they can stay warm. You also need to spray their skin with water so they can stay moist. If they think that you are a threat, they will attack you. They defend themselves by using their tails. They could also let their tails go if an enemy is holding on to it.
I think iguanas are nice reptiles. They are quick animals too.
My book title is called 1001 facts about the human body. today i read that the human body has many systems to it. where each one does their own set of work. but yet they all come together in ones body and have to communicate to one another through the nervous and blood system. i also read that cells are what make up a body system with many different tissues. tissue is made up of similar cells that works with a specific function. there are about 200 cells in ones body that perform as the body's building blocks. A adult humans body has over 50 trillion cells inside, 3 billion of our bodies cell die every minute, but most are usually renewed.the largest human cell one has is the ovum. It would be really intersting to be able to see all the tiny cells in ones body. I wonder what it must be like to digest someone body when they are dead..? one intersting fact i learned was that i never knew cells where so tiny.
Section title: The native Americans
Picture description: the face of the southwest Quechan man that is known has yuman who lived on both sides of Colorado river SW Arizona and eastern California.
Summary: This was about that many hundreds of years ago the world was suffering from the last part of the ice age. Great ice sheets covered much of north America. During this time Neanderthal mans developed fire for warmth and cooking. The weather affected many people over in central Beringia because since it was really hot things would dried up and they wouldn’t have enough water to survive it was rare when the weather changed because sometime they would get cold weather but it wouldn't get to cold. what I learn is that Indians have their way to survive because since they know a lot about nature where they could event things on their own.
The section i read today was called Who Moved My Cheese. This story is about some mouses looking for who took there cheese. In this section there was two mouses and they had some cheese and they had lost it,so they went around looking for it, they sniffed and sniffed until they thought they found it but it wasnt it. So then, they went on their little search again oh and by the way the names were hem, haw, but two more mouses joined them and they continued their search and the most thing i liked about this story, is how the mice went looking for their cheese and they met two friends and they all went along and searched for the missing cheese. what i learned was that you should always be responsible for what u had and if u loose it look for it.
This Morning I read this book about Rome, it is very interesting and full of facts. I learned all kinds of new and interesting facts. Modern day Rome is a busy commercial center and a popular city with tourists. It is a city known for its beauty and rich culture. Because of its long history, Rome is also called “The Eternal City.” In ancient Rome, city workers did no pick up people’s garbage. People could bring it to a dump, or they could just throw it out the window. Some cities today, buildings covered with graffiti. Crime was also common. In fact, homes of the rich had few windows or doors outside.
I think it’s a good book to teach someone about Rome. It also has a good source of information for a report or something because it allows you to compare the two centuries.
I learned that the people would throw their trash out their windows.
Chicken Soup for the Soul.
Rest in Peace: The "I can't" Funeral.
This short story is about a fourth grade teacher who has all of her students write down every single thing that they can not do. As time passes, they are using about 2 to 3 pages of paper of things they can not do. The teacher then collects all the papers from the students and puts them into a box. She tells all the students to follow her outside and she grabs a shovel. Digging a hole she puts the box into the ground and buries the box. Everyone gathers and the teacher says a prayer about the loss of "I can't". She says how the brothers and sisters of "I can't" named "I will" and "I can" need to be noticed more often. She also has a sign that says "I can't R.I.P." on her classroom wall. So now when one of her students says "I can't do this" she will point to the wall to that picture and the student will automatically rephrase what they said because "I can't" is dead and no longer exists. I like this story because it teaches young children to try. If they begin to stop saying "I can't" it will give them more chances of actually trying. "I can't" makes the children think that they have a reason to not do something.
