Title: Death and Grief May 8,2007
This part of the book that I read was about that death is a part of life. Everything that’s living will die. Plants, animals, and human beings will all die. That’s reality. Not every person lives a long life. Accidents happen and illnesses cannot always be cured. Advanced medical treatments has made it possible for humans to live longer than they did in the past. Death is a part of life
Reflection: I feel that death is something that I’m scared of.
I think that some people are scared of dieing but others are not.
Interesting Fact: When a person dies their temperature drops and their skin changes color. The muscles become stiff.
Title: Our Lady of Guadalupe
This part of the book that I read was about the study of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It says how her head is tilted to the side. Her greenish eyes looking downward in an expression of gentleness.. The mantle that covers her head is turquoise with gold stars. Her hair is black and her complexion is olive. They say that the image of Guadalupe was made supernaturally. No artist painted it, and it was not made with human hands.
Reflection: I think that someone did paint it, its impossible if no one painted it.
I wish I knew who painted it. That would be a good discovery.
Interesting Fact: That throughout its 450 history, many artist and scholars have examined the painting , arriving at a variety of conclusions. In 1666 a group of artists investigated the image and swore that it was impossible for any human to paint or create a painting so fine.
Title: Our Lady of Guadalupe
The Aztecs were devastated by the destruction of their pride and their temples, as well as the killing of their people. The Aztecs thought that the gods were angry with them and that they had deserted them. The Spaniards claimed that the gods of the Aztecs were dead. Spanish missionaries urged the Aztecs to believe in their god. Mexican empire in the first half of the sixteenth century were forced to abandon their ancient religion. The people however could not agree with their beliefs and the way they understood reality. Reflection: I think that the way the Aztecs feel about the Spaniards religion is normal, I mean that just not what there used to.
I feel that the way the Spaniards are trying to spread their religion is wrong. They shouldn’t force people. It’s not right.
Interesting Fact: An interesting fact that I learned was that the Mexican empire in the first half of the sixteenth century were forced to abandon their ancient religion.

Section title: Death and grief
Picture description: Brian is looking out his window I assumed that maybe he misses him and imagines when he used to play with him outside.
Summary: Chapter 2 was about how Brian thinks he has caused the death of his favorite dog although he have another one but he does not like the other dog like he likes the other one. He thinks that this happened because he had giving him the wrong food and that he wasn’t taking care of him that well. But what really when wrong was that the dog was already old, and had live for 12 years. What Brian didn’t understand was that all living things will die soon such as plants, animals, and human beings. He felt so guilty that he didn’t even want to go to school because he would always think that he didn’t do the best to keep his dog alive.
In the couple of more of the chapters I read in When the Wind Blows, Max is surprised she is still alive. She was hidden from the hunters in some trees. She cant stop thinking about her little brother Mathew. She reminisces about them being inseparable. Travis or Kit or whoever he is, reminisces about his dead three year old son. He's on a mission to find the killers that killed his family. He thought about going on the case privately. If he does he will be fired from the police department. He is an agent. He took the decision of getting fired and going on his own investigation. I think that I will enjoy this chapter. I read this book before. I like this book. The fact that Max got away alive gets me happy.
