Title: 1001 facts about the human body
Today I read about three different types of systems in the human body, the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and the lymphatic system. The nervous system sends nerve signals to and from the brain. But the endocrine system carries hormonal messages. The cardiovascular system pumps blood around the body, this system provides tissues with oxygen and removes wastes products. The last system is the lymphatic system, and this system contains immune cells and is collected by a network of lymph vessels. One interesting fact I read was that vessels circulate blood.

I continue to read the book When the Wind Blows. The author is James Patterson. I read chapters 21 and 22. In these two chapter, there all about Kit. Kit is acting like an F.B.I agent again. Instead of taking a break from his job being an F.B.I agent he continues to do his job. He talked to Dr. Mcdoughs wife to get to the bottom of his death. They both think he was murdered instead of an accidental death. He also follows Fran through the woods. Maybe she has something to do with the doctors deaths. She was one of the doctors wives. The interesting fact in these chapters was that Fran is really sweet because she feeds stray cats .

Desert iguana} today I read about the desert iguana. this is a desert dwelling species from the southwestern USA and northern Mexico. It lives in the arid scrubland. it is a light buff in color with irregular white spots and bars. when it is baskin in the sun it becomes very light colored, appearing almost white. They eat pungent herbs such as sage and rosemary. Also they require very high temperatures and broad spectrum lighting.
Also its relatives the green iguana, and the chuckwalla. At the length of 45 cm {18 in}.
I think the desert iguana is a very ugly thing. They are very brown it does not look nothing like the green iguana. they wouldn’t be good house pets, buts that my opinion.
The one thing I learned about the desert iguana is 40 cm {16 in}.

Today I read about a man of great Mystery Rasputin, In an article entitled The unholy monk in the book Great mysteries of the past. It began with his mysterious appearance into St. Petersburg. Little was known about him until one day he went to the home of a dieing child prayed and told the parents to believe in his prayer and his child would be healed. What he said came to be the child got better and from them on Rasputin was known in St. Petersburg. He was not a very holy person he drank and gambled until he went to a monastery were he spent some time in seclusion supposedly perfecting himself. and then emerged with a mysteries power many people though that Rasputin's powers were not from a holy authority, many believed that he was part of a cult that would perform several wrong acts. So the mystery of Rasputin is the question was he good or evil.
In today’s read I learned how there could be several perspectives on one person and none of them could be accurate all they go by is an educated guess. I learned that some pre thought out ideas could be wrong, I had it in my head that Rasputin was some evil person that overthrew the government because of the Disney movie. Now I see that all that is speculation Trying to interpret what cannot be defined.
The most interesting fact that I learned was the misconception of people.

"Race" by Bart Schneider
A book of short stories

In this part of her short story, Susan Straight talks about her work experience. She said she works all the time. How that she has had 3 jobs since she was 15. She cleaned houses, worked in a theater, and helped her mother. Now she teaches in a university. She still has multiple jobs. She illustrates that her children are her life. She puts them before herself. I like that Susan is a nice person and that she is considerate. I also like that this relationship is a 2 way street.

TiTlE: SpIcEs
SeCtIOn: EuRoPeAn cOnTrOl OveR tHe TrADe
In this short story, I read that the Dutch had quickly took over the Spice Islands. The people that was staying on the island were the people who had work for them, the Dutch people also stopped them from growing and selling their own spices. The Dutch people had changed their culture and their way of life when they took over. The English people on the other hand took their spices to India, and the trade had grew more and more. When the spices had grew more the English people had decided to settle in India, and they changed India way of life just how the Dutch did the Spice Island. They had the control of the spots they took over until the twentieth century had came. I learned that the English and Dutch people were stronger people then the people on the Spice Island and in India. I also learned that they where very into the Spice Trade, and that they where getting very healthy to where they didn’t need to do their own work they made the people they took over do everything. I like the fact that they where into becoming healthy, and I also like the fact that they had very much people to help them out event though they had took over them instead of becoming together

Forever Odd by Dean Koontz
Chapter 6

The part I read today was kind of boring. Nothing happened much. Odd waited for Chief Porter at the tree of death and Odd is looking for Danny. Whenever Odd is looking for somebody and can't find them he could get in a car, bicycle, or just walk and he finds them. This is one of many of Odd's ability. It may take him a couple minutes sometimes hours, but he finds the person he's looking for. In this case he doesn't know where Danny is and he couldn't get a good look at the stanger who tasered him so he's looking for Danny. Another thing is that Chief Porter is helping out.

Today's part was boring. I didn't really like it. Maybe tomorrow's story would be better.

Not everything that shines is gold.

+Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
A Gift for Two
+This morning I read a short story about a couple of counselors that learned about generosity. It was when the couple decided to have lunch in downtown Portland, the day was perfect for lunch at the park. The couple both wanted some hot dogs, so they went to the closest hot dog stand. They watched the vendor prepare the perfect hot dog, just the way they wanted it. But when they took out the money to pay the man, he surprised them by letting them take it for free. “It looks a little on the cool side,” he said. But as soon as they were done eating and about to throw away their trash, a homeless man went over to the couple and asked them if they had finished all of their food. The couple answered yes and decided to go buy the poor homeless man a hot dog of his own. That was the day they learned how generosity can go farther than the person you give to. By giving, you teach others how to give also.

-Chicken soup for the teenage soul
-First Love
-Today's story is really nice. It was about this couple that was never really a couple. The guys name was Michael, and he was three and a half years older than her. He liked to play sports and she was in the swim team. When was 16 he was allowed to drive. He would always drive her home and just talk with her in the car. They would spend time watching TV in the basement. Then after a while they kissed for the first time. When she got home she ran upstairs and told her sister. Her sister was surprised because she asked what have you been doing this whole time. He started dating other girls and she started dating other guys. But she only felt comfortable with him he was the only one that understood her. He always told her that no matter if he has a girlfriend and she has a boyfriend that he will always be there. Then he got married but he kept his promise. At first she was kind of jealous but then she became friends with his wife. Later she moved out and would only see him at times. the years passed and her father died and the morning of the funeral she wondered if he knew. And during the funeral he showed up and told her that hell always be there for her.
-this story is kind of cool because I have never seen any one like this .
One interesting thing that I learned is that truly loving another means letting go of all expectations.

*The Great Migration
The Great Migration tells the story of the mass move of thousands of African Americans from the South to the North between 1915 and 1930. Life in the South was still very difficult for many African Americans after the Civil War ended in 1865. The Civil War ended slavery but left the South a ruined land. Many people in the South were not ready to accept African Americans as equals. The separate schools for African Americans were poor in every way. School buildings were old and poorly equipped. Even through all this bs African Americans found strength in their own community. This book has a lot of information about The Great Migration.

Mr. And Mrs. Green
"The Portrait"

Mrs. Green wanted to paint a bright, bold, and beautiful picture. Mr. Green insisted she paint a picture of him. She asked him questions like is he able to wear a tie, smile, hold a pose for a very long time, and stay awake. He says yes to them all and says he will do the best ever. Mr. Green got himself ready for the posing, pinched himself so he will not fall asleep and take his nap later. After a while, she had been getting every single spot on him correctly painted. But Mr. Green was getting tingly and itchy, he finally falls asleep while he is posing, after two hours of sleep Mrs. Green yells out finished. Mr. Green Jerks away and looks at the picture. The picture looked like a picasso painting. They thought it was beautiful. I don't really get picasso paintings. I don't understand what is so good about them. They look weird. But i guess that's what makes them so interesting.
