- Chicken soup for the teenage soul
- The miss of a great “miss”
- There was this guy that had a crush. He was practically in love with her. Her name was Susie Summers. He loved everything about her, her physical beauty and her invisible beauty. How she cared for other people and how she listened. He had the chance to walk her to her class once a day and even got to eat lunch with her. He wanted to go out with her but he thought that she probably already had a boyfriend way better than him. So at graduation he said farewell to her. A year later he met her best friend and he asked her how was Susie. She answered to him “well, she got over you.” She started telling him about how she liked him and how he just led her on.
- I like this story I think its great. I like this because I think its true. There are people that happens to them.
One interesting thing that I learned is that you never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back
Book title: Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul 3
Title: Sea Glass
Today I read a story based on relationships. The story was about a couple whom really care about each other. In the story they seem to be just right for each other. One of those relationship where the time period you’re with that person you feel like you’re just lost and everything's seems to be just right. As they spend those days together cherishing their time with themselves. Doing nothing really but just talking, and spending hours side by side. In the story the couple visit the beach to watch the sun set. Every time they’re at the beach they usually collect pieces of sea glass that are found along the shore. After the day passes they put all the sea glass that they collected into a jar, all different colors and sizes. Each different color of sea glass represents something different to them. There are some that represent all their good memories spent together, things that they have accomplished as their goals, past relationships, days filled with love, days of sadness, and broken heart, and at the very bottom there is a pink sea glass shaped as a heart that represents their hearts together as one. The jar its self represents their bodies as one holding up all the memories they went through each other. And even if they spilt up there will always stand that jar full of memories, and love, pieces of sea glass picked up from the sea shore. One thing I liked about this story was how they both are so united with one another. And even though they go through hard times, they try and over come it with the happiness and love they have for each other. One thing I learned was that even when you really care about someone you shouldn’t let anything get in between something you really love and care about.
Title: World Regions East Asia
Section: Earthquakes
In this story, East Asia, earthquakes had occurred there. When the earthquakes would hit, they would hit along the borders of tectonic plates. The tectonic plates where it had hit would help you know the energy that the earthquakes have and when the plates slide against each other, they would get stuck, and by the plates getting stuck it would build pressure to be put into the plates. When the plates break or crack all the energy that the plates where holding is called seismic waves. Scientist was studying the altitude of the earthquake. I learned that the earthquakes in east Asia was rather large and that when they would occur people would have hard time trying to study the plates that scales the energy of the earthquake. I also learned that the earthquakes had hit along the borders because that’s where the scientist noticed where the earthquakes would hit against. I liked the fact that in east Asia the earthquakes didn’t hit very often they would come like every once blue moon, the other interesting fact that I like is that how the scientist found the ways to study the earthquakes so from then on they would know the magnitude of the earthquakes that come to east Asia.
"Race" by Bart Schnieder
a book of short stories
I finished this short story in the book. Gerald Early continued talking about his friend from the past. He described how Fatman was the only person that schooled him on African American history. He would tell jokes and make up stories to share. Fatman made Gerald conscious about the modern racism... He said racial slurs in his jokes but turned them around to allow the kids to learn. Thats when he stopped remembering the past and came back to the present. Fatman died over a decade before. He was now walking the dog and made it to the house.
I think that the kids learned from that experience. They had a good time with Fatman. That's the only way they learned about the subject.
I think Gerald was happy to have good memories with Fatman.
Today the book I’m reading called When the Wind Blows by James Patterson it gets kind of freaky. The doctor in the first chapter I read seems very interested in the infant that was born. The infant seem abnormal than a regular baby. It seems to be an experiment that the doctors came up with. In the second chapter Fran has recurring nightmares about her husband David. She reminisces about the good times they had. Fran doesn’t like Kit Harrison very much. He shows up at her front porch and says good morning. Fran ignores him, picks up the mourning paper, and heads back inside. I think these chapters are a bit odd. First the baby is not your average normal baby. It suspicious to me because wasn’t this baby taken from his mother because he supposedly didn’t make it. Also I thought Fran liked Kit. I guess not. The interesting fact is that the baby is different and probably highly more intelligent than your normal baby.

Picture description: There are all kinds of picture referring to government, economy, population, traditions.
summary: This book talks about what a culture s really is. Culture can be described as the distinctive way of life of a group of people. What languages do they speak? How do they worship? Economy is that way a country uses resources to provide people with goods and services and to generate income is called economy, and is also the way to manage your life with money, and making right choices.Goverment is the purposes of a country's government include making laws, keeping order, preserving in Hong Kong has brought challenges to the people living there. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
I'll Always Be with You"
On a quiet September night a 17-year old teen called,Mike shot and killed himself. The reason for this was because he had a girlfriend whom he loved very much and she left him.His girlfriend also told him she was going to get engaged with someone else.Right after Mike's death many people came to his funeral and told many good stories about him.Mike's parents were surprised because many people came and they didn't even know those people.Anyway those people came to say alot of good things about Mike. They said that he was very helpful and that whenever they nedeed someone to talk to he was always there for them. His death impacted his parents so much that they created a foundation called,Yellow Ribbon Project to eliminate teen suicide.
I think this story was sad.It was sad because Mike killed himself and he left a note and at the bottom of the note it said, "I'll always be with you." Also it's sad because many young teens kill themselves each day.
You gain strenght, courage and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. You're able to say to yourself,"I lived through this horror.I can take the next thing that comes along."

Title: East Asia People and Places
I read about the Khmer Kingdom, 1,200 yrs. Ago, the Khmer kingdom grew along the banks of the Mekong River in what is now Cambodia. From the 800’s to the 1100’s, the kings of Khmer expanded their empire into the present day countries of Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. The growth of kingdom brought great wealth to the Khmer kings. The people used some of their wealth to build elaborate palaces and temples in their capital city of Angkor. The kings built the temples in their capital to honor the religion of Hinduism. One interesting fact I learned is that today 95% of Cambodians are Buddhists.
+Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul
+On Love; An Experiment in Love
+This morning I read a short story on a woman who's dog found four newborn kittens abandoned in tall grass beside the road. When she came home her husband told her she could not have anymore pets. They had already adopted a dog and three cats. "I wont keep them," she promised, "Just until they grow old enough to be on their own." She made a nest for the babies by ripping up an old blue blanket and lining a wicker basket with it. She even bought a set of toy nursing bottles to feed them. She later realized that the kitten were no longer kittens, they'd grown up. When her husband realized she was big enough to let them go, he realized he was big enough to let one stay. =]
+My favorite part was when her husband let her keep one.
