Wild Animals
I bet that there is a lot of animals that you didn’t know that even existed. I didn’t even know that a sun bear even existed. They are a tropical bear. They require a lot of warmth. It nests in trees. It laps up termites with its long tongue. The sun bear especially loves wild honey. There is a species called the red panda. It is related to raccoons. It eats bamboo like like the giant panda. They are very rare but if you want to look for one, they will be in the Himalayas. There are also wild cats. They look like domestic cats but they are larger and stronger. They are very dangerous and they can kill somebody. There are a lot of species of wild cats. The snow leopard when it is cold, it wraps its long tail around its body to keep itself warm. These cats are very rare. There is also a relative of the zebra, I forgot what its name is ut it is really weird. It has a long blue tongue.
There are a lot of species of animals that I have never seen. There are a lot of cat species too. I didn’t know that there were sun bears.

Today I read about how to become pregnant and how to keep yourself and your baby healthy during and before pregnancy. There are a lot of steps that you have to check for if you are planning to have a baby. These steps are; checking if you are immune to German measles, do you and your partner have a family history of inherited disease, do you have a long-standing medical condition, are you or have been on the pill, does your work bring you in contact with any risks, are you at the exact weight, are you eating a balanced diet, you or your partner shouldn’t be smoking or drinking, and you should exercise regularly for 20minutes. Pregnancy will show changes in your body and emotions. If you are planning to become pregnant you should make sure that your lifestyle doesn’t harm the baby. All major organs of the baby’s body are formed during the first 3 months of pregnancy. There are times that you may think that you are pregnant, only a pregnancy test can confirm a female’s pregnancy. Pregnancy also has symptoms such as; a missed period, enlarged, tender breasts, a strange metallic taste in your mouth, tiredness 24/7, feeling dizzy, an increase in normal vaginal discharge, nausea and maybe vomiting, a strong dislike/like for things, feeling unusually emotional, and a frequent need to urinate. Pregnancy last about 266 days from conception to birth. About 1:80 of babies are twins.After reading this portion of the book I realized that having a child is a big responsibility. I also thought the book was very interesting, it showed things you should check off before having a baby, and how to keep your baby healthy during pregnancy. There were a lot of facts that I didn’t know about pregnancy, that I also thought were very interesting.A fact that I thought was interesting that i read was that pregnancy lasts about 266 days from conception to birth.

Section: Dear Boy
In this story a young teenage girl had wrote a letter for the love of her life telling him, her favorite color, the flowers she likes, her eye color. She was gradually telling him the truth of what she wanted in the man that was soon to be her true love forever and more, and that if they where to break up, she would still be his friend even though she maybe a little bit bitter about the situation. The young teenager also was stating how she felt that she didn’t want to be the one to get hurt she wanted to know that she’s the only one and she would have to worry about if she’s coming in second, she also wants to be a to make sure that his kisses are perfect, and when they get ready to go on a date that he won’t have to stress his self out about where to take her and that the only thing that is important is that she’s with him, and when she cry she wants him to hold her and she will heal quickly, and she will perfectly be the same. I liked the fact that she wants a man to love her for who she is, and I also like that she’s letting the man know the way she feels and how she wants to be treated which is like a lady. I learned that when loving someone is hard to find, but when the time is ready the true love that you was seeking for will come to you, and when he do make sure that even though you guys aren’t together anymore that you’ll always be friends or until you find out that it was meant for you and him to be together until the end.

"If there's a Will"
This story is about a woman who has 5 daughters, and out of those five daughters, one of them is missing her arm from the elbow. The doctor told the woman, "Don't treat her any differentl than the other girls. Demand more." The mother followed those directions. As she raised her daughter with one arm, she expected her daughter to be able to do the same things as her other daughters. When her daughter would complain about not being able to do things such as peal a potatoe, she wouldn't even look at her daighter. She would simply say, "Get back in that kitchen and peal those potatoes, and don't ever use that as an excuse for anything again!" Stacey always found out how to do things with one arm. As Stacey grew up, more problems arrived in her life. Stacey was now crying because she had no date for prom. None of the boys wanted to dance with a girl with one arm. Stacey finally saw her mothers tears realizing that not only was it hard for her to do things with one arm, but it also was hard for her mother to raise a daughter with one arm. Stacey finally lived a good life, got married and had 4 kids of her own. She found out it was hard to raise children and was proud and amazed of her mother to raise 5 girls. Staceys mother soon died from cancer. I think this story is a great story to tell. It helps people realize that their life can't be that hard, there are people who are less lucky to be born with the body they should be having.

Title: I Know You, You’re Just Like Me!
Today’s story I read about was based on love in our society. A man by the name of Stan Dale who teaches a class on love and relationships called Sex, Love, and Intimacy. He decided to take about 30 people to the Soviet Union for two weeks. To learn about others what those people were like. As the went to a park in an industrial city in, Kharkov. They met a old Russian veteran from World War 2. as he spoke to him in Russian language say to the old man, “friendship and peace.” the old man at first looked at him a bit weird but then, they both began to talk without even understanding each other, but able to understand where each one comes from. They talked and and hugged and cried. After that day they met so many new people other Russians, who showed so much love to them. They were so pleased to have so many people come in and enjoy spending time with them. They would be invited to dinners where there were drinks, foods, and music, and a room full of conversation. After those two weeks once it was time to go back home, they were so attached to one another that they cried in their goodbyes. For even though they did not look alike to them they were all family, no matter who you are or where you come from. One thing liked about this story was that the class set a good example on bringing our society closer together. Another thing was that they didn’t care if it wasn’t someone of their race they accept each individual for who they were. What I learned after reading this passage was that if everyone unites and doesn’t judge each person because of their race our world would be so much more united and better for everyone, full of happiness, friendship, and love.

- There was this girl named Abbie. She was shy and reserved. She started ninth grade in a big city high school when she started she found herself lonely. She was too shy to make herself new friends. Every day she would be by herself walking the halls by herself. She would cry herself to sleep. Then she started thinking of ending her life. She planned that on Christmas eve she will jump off a bridge. She decided to write a letter to her parents. When she opened the mailbox she saw that there was already letters. Within the letters she saw that there was one for her. The letter said that a boy from her youth group wanted to be her friend. He said that he has not talked to her because his parents were divorcing. She read the card over and over again. As soon as she walked back into her house she called him.

This book explains how technology influenced the lives of ancient Romans. The book also recognizes the legacy of the ancient Romans. The Roman Republic was founded in 509 B.C. It began as a small city near the Tiber River and over time grew into an empire that stretched across the Mediterranean region. For breakfast, people ate bread and water. The main meal each day was dinner. It began in the late afternoon so it could end by sunset. Most people ate cheese, vegetables, and porridge, which is like oatmeal. Buildings were made of wood. People were afraid of fire and did not cook in their homes. I thought that this book was a good guide if you wanted to go to ancient Rome.
I continue to read When the wind Blows by James Patterson. I’m now on chapter 11 and 12. Murder is involved. A doctor get murdered by four men while swimming in his pool. The four men break and drown him. I guess Kit Harrison is friends with this doctor that gets killed in his own swimming pool. He get these flooding back feelings and needs to talk to a friend. No one answers he deals with this himself. The two murders of the doctors that worked in the lab where Max and Mathew escaped from. I knew this was all connected. It had to be. The interesting fact is the way the murderers killed the doctor in his home. So brutal, so sad.
"Race" by Bart Schneider
a book of short stories
I just started a new short story in this book. The short story that I'm now reading is an autobiography by Susan Straight. In the introduction, Straight describes her background. She was born in Riverside, California. To this day she, still lives in that same area with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. She studied at the University of Massachusetts. She is now a teacher at the University of California, Riverside. She has published four novels.
I think that although she grew up in a bad neighborhood, she learned how to avoid it. I guess it was her motivatiom\n to suceed. I liked how she listed the collegesshe attended.

These temples were built during the ancient Khmer kingdom. About 12,000 years ago, the Khmer kingdom grew along the naks of the Mekong river in what is now Cambodia. The kings built temples to honor the religion of hinduism.later,many of the kingdoms people began to practice a different religion Buddhism. The temples were made out of literate and sandstone.Laterite is a soft stone that can be easily cut and dried in the sun to form a very hard material. sandstone can easily carved. Builders often made doorways out of sandstone and decorated them with beautiful carvings.

Well this story is told by a girl named Chris.This story is about her brother,Michael.After one drink Joe,Michael's friend decided to drive home and on his way there he crashed and killed Michael.Joe got convicted and served time for manslaughter.However the real punishment was living with the consequences of Joe's actions.Joe's going to have a nightmare that will haunt him and for Michael's family they are going to have a nightmare that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.The only thing that calms down the family is talking and telling their story.When the family remembers his death they get hurt because they remember all the good times they had with him.Another thing that will haunt them is the small cross by the side of highway 128.
This story sended a message to me.That even with one drink you shouldn't drive.If you volunteer to drive please don't drink not even one.
Don't drink and drive because it may cost you your life.

I read about people in Asia. In the 1960’s a team of French archaeologists decided that the best way to save an ancient Angkor temple, called Baphuon, was to tear the whole thing down. The temple was so unstable that they had to take it apart and put it back together as a more stable building. But the war in Cambodia forced them to abandon what they were going to do. Just recently another team went back to Cambodia to rebuild the Baphuon temple that had been taken apart 40 yrs. Earlier. 200 architects and archaeologists are trying to figure out how 300,000 heavy stone blocks fit together to form Baphuon. One interesting fact I learned is that this is the biggest jig-saw puzzle in the world.

+ This morning I read a short story on a couple that was walking through a local mall near closing time, when they decided to go into a pet store. Their eye caught sight of something thatimmediately chamred them both, a pair of lovebirds. Surprisingly enough to the wife, her husband felt the same way about the birds as she did because the next day he came home from work late with a bird cage and the same two birds inside. The lovebirds helped them realize that they were a lot similar to the birds. They learned that if they spend too much time looking in the mirror, they will lose their balance. Also, to always keep a pleasant look on your face, even if your cage needs cleaning.Last, when you have love in your heart for one another, everyone around you will find joy in your presence.
